BRIEF
Design the magazine cover for the imaginary magazine. Create interesting visual play to resemble specific style of the magazine you decide to go for. Research the layouts of different magazines and see what best fits your wanted cover. Experiment with disposition and magazine name. Add all the details that should be contained on the real cover.

POKRIVENA
I decided to name my magazine “Pokrivena” which reffers to “Covered girl or Girl with hijab”. I did a little adjustment to my magazine title, letter O, to make it unique. Also, regarding subtitles I choose to go with some interesting themes that are also connected to hijabi girls in real life. The first number of magazine is talking about me, the graphic designer, with idea of this magazine having more editions and every one of them would feature successful hijabi women from different calling or experties. Since I used earlier made self-portrait illustration where we were restricted to use only blue color, I decided to keep that color as main one and combine it with white, because it creates good contrast , it’s readable and more appealing.

To finalize the cover of the magazine it required a lot of experimentation with the layout itself. The starting point for me was, to find the information I could put on the cover photo, to do alteration to the title of the magazine to make it more appealing and to define the color palette I want to work with, which was derived from the illustration I did previously.
