brief

Based on a new knowledge and experience, create fully typographic poster for theater play. Take some of Shakespeare classical plays. Use typography in it’s full creative potential. Think about the message and the hierarchy of the elements. Use letters as an information but, also, use them as a graphic elements to express your creativity and catch the essence (or idea) of that play. Typography doesn’t need to be only element on the poster, but it needs to be to the main element (see examples). Use other graphic elements like lines, geometric shapes, etc, (maybe some photos also), but don’t exaggerate it

The goal of this project was the idea that we create the poster using only typography. I did the moodboarding and re-read the Hamlet for possible inspiration. I decided on my direction, to playout with the color red and black, as well as to form the hierarchy of the poster properly. The thing that I struggled in the beginning was actually not reaching the idea that my poster looks like for theater play. But when I introduced more text, ordered it in creating the blocks of text information and then create the contrast compared to main word red Hamlet, it got that feeling.
