The gambler: Unstable life
In this surreal still life photograph I wanted to convey the deeper message and tell a certain statement. To have the surreal element I used flying cards arranged in a tower. This tower is falling down and atmospheric element of the smoke is adding up to the effect of the fall as well as fitting the following concept. With this photograph I am comparing the tower of cards with the life of a gambler. The tower is so sensitive and easily can fall down which is the situation with the life a gambler is leading everything very easily can fall a part. The final photograph was a composited of multiples of photographs.

MATERIALS
For this surreal still life photograph I used the technique of compositing where I build up my tower from the individual photographs and the main bottom part I glued with the tape. I had to experiment a lot with positioning of the cards to be able to do a good compositing and to have options. I made sure that I do not move the light neither the camera, to able from the perspective point to make myself a life easier when it comes to compositing all of these photographs. Additionally the smoke was added to the photograph to have element of atmosphere.
